How Much Is A Polygraph Test?

Updated: Jan 12

The cost of a polygraph test can vary depending on a few factors, such as the location, the experience and qualifications of the examiner, and the test's purpose.

In the United States, the average cost of a polygraph test is $500.

For example, a pre-employment polygraph test may cost less than a criminal investigation polygraph test, as the former may be more straightforward and require less time to administer.

Additionally, prices can vary depending on the location and the market rates in that area.

Some examiners may charge additional fees for travel expenses or time spent on a lengthy examination.

Just remember that cheaper is only sometimes better. In Arizona, we have had multiple clients who have taken exams by both excellent examiners and some who complain about the unethical behaviors of others.

Run from examiners who are:

1) Unethical Examiners will offer a very low rate, under $200

2) Unethical Examiners will offer 5, 10, and 12 questions. Most examiners limit examinees to three or four relevant questions.

3) Unethical Examiners who will pass everyone to avoid conflict from a non-credible examinee. For example, you send your spouse in for a relationship test. Some examiners will make a deal behind closed doors for a passing score. RUN from them!

4) Unethical Examiners who will have you pay for the result you want. Yes, they exist in Arizona. RUN RUN RUN from these companies.

All of our results at Arizona Lie Detection LLC are based on the computerized polygraph calculations and not based on our own opinion.
